About Us.
From Father to Son
Harlan Van Rhee started Van Rhee Builders more then 30 years ago and still has continued to maintain the same dedication and hard work to today. He was born and raised on a farm in Drenthe, Michigan where his father instilled in him strong work ethics and strong trade skills. Fast forward through life with amazing twists and turns, he finds himself with a loving wife; four children; seven grandchildren; and a cat in Zeeland, Michigan.
His one and only son, Jonathan Van Rhee, has always loved working with his dad. Jonathan started building with his father when he was a Junior in Zeeland High School back in 2002. In April of 2006, Jonathan passed his Builder Exam and received his Builders License. Since then, he has helped build many houses, assisted with many additions and remodels, and has been the general contractor on his own projects for his own clients.
In April of 2014, Jonathan and Harlan began to discuss what would happen after Harlan decided to retire from building. So with Harlan's blessing and Jonathan's desire to keep Van Rhee Builders a continued trustworthy small business building company, Jonathan went and developed Van Rhee Builders, LLC.
Jonathan is dedicated to continue the same hard working family owned business that his dad has instilled in him for his clients as well as new clients to come.

Jonathan Van Rhee
Currently, Jonathan is building his own house in Hamilton, Michigan with his wife, Jessica, and their two children, Olivia and Sean. Spending time with his family and enjoying activities that Michigan State Parks has to offer are often his favorite past times. Making as many fun filled memories with family and friends are what he feels is most important to him.

Harlan Van Rhee
Harlan has lived in the Zeeland area for 65 years and has seen the area go through cycles of change. His family and friends have always been his number one priority in life. Harlan became a volunteer firefighter over 25 years ago which allows him to give back to the community and protect the ones he loves.

Jenna Van Rhee
Jenna lives in Zeeland, Michigan. She graduated from Zeeland High School in 2009. Jenna started working for her father, Harlan Van Rhee, in 2011.
